Baptists rake on!

Great day of work, fun and fellowship with the folks from Newberry First Baptist Church.

Members and friends of First Baptist Church awakened Saturday to a frosty morning, and met at the church to rake leaves for those who needed assistance with this yearly chore.

Afterwards, the crew of rakers met at the local Pizza Hut for lunch and great conversation. A good time was had by all as the photographs below attest.

Car club rolls through Newberry

A-h-h-h the joys of living on Newberry Avenue.

Yesterday a group of folks from West Branch drove through town and I had the amazing luck to be mowing the yard when they did.

Fortunately they stopped at Pickleman's Petro to refuel and stopped across the street from our house to wait for one another. They are so very cool - especially the Mustang convertible, which was my favorite. Here you'll find photographs of all the cars that members of Rods and Relics car club drove in their U.P cruise. Enjoy!
