Diabetes walk all in and all done . . . for this year

Members of the community turned out in force to support the 10^th Annual Tahquamenon Area Walk for Diabetes. According to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital diabetic educator, Lynn Kihm, besides the walkers, the event had 54 individual and business sponsors. Here are photographs from the event. Big bands make for big fun

Holidays come and holidays go but for some Labor Day 2012 will hold special memories.

Marie Nicholson, her staff and volunteers worked hard to make Labor Day a notable one for area seniors, who had a great time taking a trip down memory lane to the Big Band Era of the 1940s. As she pointed out the embellishments, Nicholson confessed that it took 20 hours to decorate the venue.
