Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is one of the few remaining large wilderness areas in the Midwest. With 60,000 acres of towering virgin timber, secluded lakes, and miles of wild rivers and streams, a visit to the "Porkies" is a trip to remember. Visitors can enjoy camping on the shores of Lake Superior, 90 miles of hiking trails, kayak rentals, mountain biking and skiing in the winter.
