Lost It For Sure!

You'd think I would have learned after serving on Vernon's joke of a city council, but here I am again, serving the people of Newberry as their newest council member. I look forward to my newest foray into the political arena. Only time will tell. That's village president Terry Webb to my left.

Peanut on the Lookout

Peanut loves this window on the stairway. He sits here many hours a day watching the traffic and the kids at the school across the street. He has a barking fit if anyone dares to walk down the sidewalk in front of the house!

Woe is Me

Sent a letter to Apple last week about a major problem with my Mac. Why was I not surprised when, on Monday, I received a telephone call with an offer of assistance? I really love my G5 and hope the tech guy who is supposed to call tomorrow can get me up and running again. I sure hope so because there are over 5,300 pix in iPhoto and most of them are of the grandkids!

29th Annual Woodchopper's Ball

Check out these pix for the Woodchopper's Ball. Proceeds from the event, which included dinner, dancing with a live band and lots of 'polkaing,' raffles, contests for king and queen, dance hall girl, camp cook and cookee, Paul Bunyan look alike and belle of the ball and a silent auction, go to the local logging museum. As you can see, a good time was had by all. The museum, just north of the Newberry village limits, opens for the season on Memorial Day weekend.

WOW!

What a Frosty, wouldn't you say? Isn't he just way cool? This big fellow will get company on Saturday as many folks turn out to build friends to keep him company in the lot next to The Scoop on Newberry Avenue at the south end of the village. Proceeds from registration fees, $2 per person and $5 for a family of four, support the Luce County Community Resource and Recreation Center. That's Charlie waving at everyone. Just wanted to give you folks an idea of Frosty's size.
